Marriage is a gift of God intended for joy and mutual strength in the living of our life. In marriage we acknowledge the gift of companionship and the capacity to love in our life's journey together. While marriage is not seen as a sacrament in the Lutheran Church, it remains a vessel of grace, mercy, and love.
Marriage vows have been publicly witnessed at our church for more than one hundred years.
Weddings take place at St. John's for both members and non-members. Before the actual wedding day Pastor Henk will meet with the couple for planning and enrichment sessions as well as a rehearsal to make this event a celebration of two people's commitment and love to one another.
