The Beginning of a New Year

Jesus once said, "If you want to follow me, don't look back."  You can't plow a field looking back.  It's also been said that the key to driving in New York City is always to look straight ahead.  This month is the beginning of a new year.  It is the time to turn the page on last year and close that book.  It will be the year that was.I am excited about the possibilities that lie ahead for myself as well as for our church in 2018.  It will be a year of hard work; it will be a year offering many opportunities that, I hope, we will be able to grasp. One way to start the year is to be in church at worship, in prayer, focusing on the hope that the year will be a healthy and prosperous one.MEH
