Jesus once said, “If you want to follow me, don’t look back.” You can’t plow a field looking back. It’s also been said that the key to driving in New York City is always to look straight ahead. This month is the beginning of a new year. It is the time to turn the page on last year and close that book. It will be the year that was.
I am excited about the possibilities that lie ahead for myself as well as for our church in 2018. It will be a year of hard work; it will be a year offering many opportunities that, I hope, we will be able to grasp.
One way to start the year is to be in church at worship, in prayer, focusing on the hope that the year will be a healthy and prosperous one.
